Alistair MacKenzie

Like many people, it was as Alistair MacKenzie neared retirement that he began to look more closely at his finances, and how to maximise the income for him and his wife in the future. 

Alistair, from Wokingham, visited a financial consultancy for advice, who in turn recommended Birchwood Investment Management as the best people to review all of his financial affairs and suggest some more productive investments. 

He said: “What I really needed was help with my financial planning and advice on where my money was best invested. At the time, it was just sitting in a bank, and I felt my money could be working harder for me. 

“Birchwood took me through the various options and I settled on a number of low or medium-risk investments – they also outlined some higher-risk options, but I decided they were not for me.” 

With Birchwood’s help, Alistair put his savings in a mixture of ISAs, and medium term- investments, to provide a secure income in retirement.
