Charlie began his financial services career in 2013, initially working as an apprentice here at Birchwood and later becoming a Paraplanner for Darren Weir. Over the years he has acquired the qualifications needed to become an Independent Financial Adviser which he achieved in 2019.
He now has a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience as well as an excellent understanding of how Birchwood operates and how we look after our clients.
Charlie has completed the Personal Finance Society’s Level 4 Qualification, achieving the Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS). His other qualifications also include (CF6) Mortgage Advice and he continues to study towards the ER1 (equity release) component of the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) Certificate in Equity Release. Charlie also intends sitting the J10 Discretionary Management exam, which forms part of the CII’s Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management as well as aiming to achieve ‘Chartered Adviser’ status in the next few years.
Outside of work Charlie is a keen golfer in his spare time and is a member at his local golf course.
